Me.
I grew up on rural Wisconsin farm property. I wanted to be a veterinarian, but animals were gross. Later, in high school, I would get C’s in everything besides History and English.
I attended the University of Minnesota and eventually found my way into the warm center of the profitable-tolerable Venn Diagram of communications careers. I received Bachelor’s Degrees in Strategic Communications and German Language.
In time I grew to love my career in advertising for its very particular qualities. It is less like writing, and more like doing math with words. The incredible power advertising can have, for good and ill, through its sheer reach has always captivated me. Learning how to turn that dial as far toward ‘good’ as possible continues to inspire me.
I love writing in all its forms. I consume media gluttonously. I have several podcasts - one even had listeners, once. I am writing a novel and designing a board game. I am a Dungeon Master, an avid tennis fan, and a 1000-rated chess player (if you don’t know, that is very, very not high).
